Qantas Frequent Flyers Can Now Earn and Redeem Points at Over 40 Restaurants Across Australia

Qantas Frequent Flyer has partnered with the Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group to allow members to earn points when dining at over 40 restaurants across Australia. Members can also use Qantas Points to pay their bill in full or in part with Points Plus Pay.

On Thursday (August 18, 2022), Qantas Frequent Flyer announced the launch of a new partnership with the Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group allowing members to earn and redeem points at more than 40 restaurants across Australia. Restaurants include 6HEAD, Ribs & Burgers, Italian Street Kitchen, Hunter & Barrel, The Meat & Wine Co. and many more. Members will earn three points per dollar spent at premium venues such as 6HEAD, Hunter & Barrel and The Meat & Wine Co., and two points per dollar spent at Ribs & Burgers and Italian Street Kitchen. Qantas Frequent Flyers can also use points to pay their bill in full, or in part with Points Plus Pay at all venues.


In Thursday’s announcment, Qantas Loyalty’s CEO, Olivia Wirth, said,


“Food and wine consistently rank amongst the top interests for our members, along with travel, and we’ve been looking at how we can expand their opportunities to be rewarded while dining out. The ability to earn points towards their next dream trip while enjoying a meal in a restaurant will be a welcome addition for frequent flyers. As will treating themselves to a dining experience using their Qantas Points. Frequent flyers can also double-dip on earning Qantas Points by using their points earning credit card when they dine at one of these restaurants.”


Also commenting on the new loyalty partnership, Seagrass Hospitality Group’s Founder and CEO, Bradley Michael, added,


“We’re excited to be partnering with Qantas Frequent Flyer, especially now that dining out and restaurant experiences are coming back to life. Our portfolio of brands and locations will give frequent flyers the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of premium and casual dining experiences. Qantas Loyalty’s new integrated pin-pad experience will be used at the point-of-sale at the restaurants to deliver a simple, convenient and seamless experience for members looking to earn or redeem points on their meals. The system was designed to allow members to easily use Qantas Points on the ground by scanning their digital Frequent Flyer Card and then entering their unique Reward Code. The new restaurant partnership builds on over 600 partners already in the program, including travel, retail, business, financial services, insurance, health and wellbeing providers.
