Porter Airlines to Add New Service From Toronto City Airport to Halifax, Fredericton and Moncton

This spring Porter is adding three new nonstop routes from Toronto City Airport to the Maritimes with service to Halifax, Fredericton and Moncton. Three daily flights to Halifax start April 7th, while daily service to Fredericton and Moncton will start on May 5, 2022.

On Thursday (February 17, 2022), Porter Airlines announced the launch of new nonstop service from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to Halifax, Fredericton and Moncton. The carrier will offer up to three daily flights to Halifax from April 7th, and daily year-round service to Fredericton and Moncton starting May 5, 2022. The new service is in addition to existing flights to each market from Montreal or Ottawa, which don’t require customers to change aircraft. The new routes will provide seamless connectivity between Atlantic Canada and Porter’s network in Ontario and the U.S., including Newfoundland travelers who will benefit from a single connection trip to Toronto via Halifax.


In Thursday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ President and CEO, Michael Deluce, said,


“These three established Porter markets in Atlantic Canada will see significant service improvements with new year-round, non-stop routes and many opportunities for convenient connecting flights. It also demonstrates our commitment to investing in Billy Bishop Airport, which serves as an important regional transportation hub and provides exceptional access to central Toronto.”
