Pegasus Airlines has started new service between Ankara and Lisbon, with the inaugural flight between the capitals taking to the skies on April 2, 2024. The route will now operate three times weekly with fares from €89.99.
On Friday (April 5, 2024), Pegasus Airlines announced the launch of new service between Ankara and Lisbon. The inaugural flight between the capitals of Türkiye and Portugal took to the skies on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The route will now operate three times weekly with fares from €89.99. Prior to the first flight, a ceremony was held at Ankara Esenboğa Airport, which was attended by Onur Dedeköylü, Pegasus Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Pegasus officials, as well as Nuray Demirer, General Manager of TAV Esenboğa Airport and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony on Tuesday, Pegasus Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Onur Dedeköylü, said,

Our Ankara-Lisbon route will help us extend this purpose and role to Portugal. Founded in 1990 as a joint venture company by Aer Lingus Group, Silkar Yatırım ve Insaat Organizasyonu A.S. and Net Holding A.S., Pegasus Airlines started operations with two aircraft. In 2005, following acquisition by Esas Holding A.S., owned by Sevket Sabanci and his family, Pegasus started scheduled domestic flights in November of the same year, becoming the 4th top among the scheduled airlines operating in Türkiye.
