Peach Launches Tabikuji ‘Lucky Trip Fortunes’ That Decides The Player’s Surprise Destination

One year since the introduction of the Tabikuji (travel lottery), Peach has launched ‘Lucky Trip Fortunes’ which is different from typical travel lottery tickets purchased from capsule vending machines. With Lucky Trip Fortunes, players will select a stick to determine their destination.

On Wednesday (August 10, 2022) Peach Aviation Limited announced the launch of sales of Tabikuji ‘Lucky Trip Fortunes’, a new kind of travel in which customers don’t know where they will be going until they draw a destination. Fortunes are JPY 5,000 (around US $36.00) each and come with Peach Points, along with lucky missions that can be used at their designated destination. The limited edition Lucky Trip Fortunes are different from the usual travel lottery tickets purchased from a capsule vending machine. Customers will select a numbered stick from a wooden barrel modeled after an omikuji fortune, and then receive their fortune from a sales clerk at the lottery ticket office.

Fortunes are now available at four well-known lottery ticket offices in Tokyo, including the Nishi Ginza Chance Center, the Yaesu Underground Mall Chance Center, the Tachikawa Chance Center, and the Tachikawa Lumine Chance Center. Each Lucky Trip Fortune contains an exchange code for JPY 6,000 worth of Peach Points, which can be used to purchase a Peach flight to the designated destination, along with a mission that will lead to luck at the destination. The Lucky Trip Fortunes offer 11 possible domestic destinations on departure from Tokyo Narita, including Memanbetsu, Kushiro, Sapporo (New Chitose), Osaka (Kansai), Fukuoka, Oita, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Amami, Okinawa (Naha), and Ishigaki.

Additionally, all Tabikuji (Lucky Trip Fortunes) come with a follow-up fortune for customers to enjoy after their trip, consisting of assigned lottery numbers, one of which will be the winner of JPY 100,000 (around US $750) worth of lottery tickets selected by Fukui-san, a staff member of the Tachikawa Chance Center whose name includes the Japanese word for ‘luck.’ The lottery will take place on Thursday, December 1st, 2022. Lucky Trip Fortunes are available for purchase from select Chance Centers from Wednesday, August 10, 2022 through Friday, November 18, 2022.
