On Monday (August 31, 2020) Japanese low-cost carrier (LCC) Peach Aviation announced two new routes for the winter 2020 schedule including service from Sapporo (New Chitose) and Okinawa (Naha), as well as flights between Sendai and Okinawa. In Monday’s announcement, Peach’s Representative Director and CEO, Takeaki Mori said,

“We are able to announce these new routes today thanks to the significant support of the local governments at our destinations and everyone involved, so I offer my sincere gratitude. As a provider of public transportation, we will continue to implement thorough measures to prevent infection in cabins and airports and ask the cooperation of our customers in preventing infection at our destinations so we can offer safe and reliable flights.”
