Oman Air announced on Sunday the resumption of flights to Europe from October 1st, 2020, including twice-weekly service to London, Frankfurt and Istanbul. Starting in October, the carrier will serve 17 cities in 12 countries.
On Sunday (September 20, 2020) Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced that they will resume scheduled service to 17 destinations in 12 countries from October 1st, 2020, including twice-weekly flights to London, Frankfurt and Istanbul. Flights from Muscat to London will depart on Sundays and Wednesdays, while Frankfurt service will operate on Mondays and Saturdays. Muscat-Istanbul flights will depart on Wednesdays and Sundays with return flights departing Istanbul on Mondays and Thursdays. The preceding flight schedule will be valid from October 1st through October 24, 2020.
Update: September 22, 2020
On Tuesday (September 22, 2020), Oman Air announced the resumption of service between Muscat and Duqm. The flights will operate daily, except on Fridays.
Update: September 23, 2020
On Wednesday (September 23, 2020), Oman Air announced the resumption of service to 18 cities in 12 countries including twice-weekly flights connecting Muscat to Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam from October 1st, 2020. The flights will depart Oman on Thursdays and Saturdays and return on Thursdays and Sundays.
Update: September 24, 2020
On Thursday (September 24, 2020), Oman Air announced the restart of flights between Muscat and Salalah starting October 1st, 2020. The carrier will offer twice-daily flights which will depart Muscat at 08:45 and 15:00, while the return flights will depart Salalah at 11:20 and 17:30, respectively.
Oman Air has implemented a comprehensive set of protocols throughout the travel journey to ensure their guests can fly with confidence. Facemasks will be required at Oman’s airports and onboard and social distancing will be maintained during boarding and deplaning. Oman Air’s aircraft are carefully cleaned after each flight and at the end of every day. The carrier’s crew have been outfitted with PPE and the onboard meal service has been modified to limit unnecessary contact. All guests departing Oman are encouraged to familiarize themselves with all pre-departure requirements as well as entry requirements at their destination.
