Oman Air has appointed Majid Al Qassabi as the airline’s new Country Manager for Oman. Mr. Al Qassabi is an aviation industry veteran with a career spanning 14 years and has held leadership positions at top companies in Oman and the greater GCC region.
On Tuesday (September 20, 2022), Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, announced the appointment of aviation industry veteran Majid Al Qassabi as the carrier’s new Country Manager – Oman. Having started his career with Oman Air, Mr. Al Qassabi has held leadership positions at top companies in Oman and the greater GCC region over the past 14 years. In his new role with Oman Air, Al Qassabi will manage sales, operations and business development in Oman, the airline’s home base and on of its key markets.
In Tuesday’s announcment, Oman Air’s Regional Vice President – Oman & GCC, Ahmed Ali Al Mahrouqi, said,
“We are delighted to have Majid return to our team, whose wealth of experience is certain to add significant value to the future direction of the airline. As Country Manager, he is anticipated to steer our new strategy to reinforce ourselves as Oman’s airline of first choice, while continuing to stay true to our brand ethos to provide our guests with an exceptional travel experience.”
Majid Al Qassabi has worked for major airlines and travel technology companies across Oman and the GCC. Most recently, he was part of the launch team for Oman’s first low-cost carrier (LCC), where he built an extensive network of B2B partnerships with travel agents and corporate clients. Mr. Al Qassabi holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Coventry University, UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman.
