Lufthansa to Launch Service to New Long Haul Destinations for Winter 2023/24

Lufthansa will launch new Airbus A380 service from Munich to Los Angeles and Bangkok for winter 2023/24. The carrier will also expand service to India with new service between Munich and Hyderabad with an Airbus A350-900.

On Thursday (April 27, 2023), Lufthansa announced the addition of new long-haul destinations as part of their winter 2023/24 flying program. The carrier will launch new Airbus A380 service between Munich and Los Angeles from October 5th, followed by A380 service from Munich to Bangkok on October 28, 2023. Lufthansa’s A380 offers 75 percent more capacity than an Airbus A350, and offers additional premium seating with eight First Class, 78 Business Class and 52 Premium Economy seats.


Additionally, Lufthansa will increase service to India with new service from Munich to Bangalore, complementing existing service to Delhi and Bombay. The Munich-Bangalore route will be serviced with and Airbus A350, with LH764 departing Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:10. After a long hiatus, the carrier will also relaunch service between Frankfurt and Hyderabad. Further details on the Frankfurt-Hyderabad route will be announced in mid-May 2023. In total, for the winter 2023/24 season, Lufthansa will offer service to five destinations on the Indian subcontinent from their Frankfurt and Munich hubs.
