On Tuesday (December 1, 2020), the Lufthansa Group announced an extension of their free rebooking program until February 28, 2021. The Group originally suspended rebooking fees last spring through the end of 2020, but now guests of Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings can book future travel with added confidence. Even after February 28, 2021, one additional flight change will be available free of charge.

The elimination of rebooking fees applies to all new bookings in every fare category for short, medium and long-haul flights, providing added flexibility for travel arrangements. Customers may incur additional costs under certain conditions. For example, if the original booking class is no longer available when rebooking for a different date or destination, the difference will need to be compensated by means of additional payment.
