LATAM Airlines and Delta Air Lines have expanded their existing codeshare partnership to improve connectivity between North and South America. Under the expansion, guests will have access to 20 routes between the US and South America, plus many more connections.

On Monday (November 15, 2021), LATAM Airlines announced an expansion of their existing codeshare partnership with Delta Air Lines which will provide customer access to over 20 routes between the US and South America, as well as more than 70 destinations in the US and 40 destinations in South America. Under the expansion, LATAM will add eight new international routes operated by Delta between South America and the U.S. and 11 onward domestic destinations beyond Atlanta. Delta will add 12 international routes operated by LATAM between South America and the US, connecting Miami, New York-JFK, and Los Angeles, as well as seven inter-regional routes in South America and four new destinations in Chile.
In Monday’s announcement, LATAM Airlines Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Marty St. George, said,
“This codeshare expansion allows us to offer to LATAM and Delta passengers the most extensive network of connections in the continent, with better schedules, safety, and a world-class award-winning service.”
Also commenting on the codeshare expansion, Delta Air Lines’ President, Alain Bellemare, said,
“Delta is as committed as ever to providing our customers with expanded travel options and service that is award-winning. The extension of our codeshare agreement with LATAM Airlines Group enables Delta to expand our route network and customer benefits just as borders have reopened and customers travel freely again. We look forward to introducing more of our customers to LATAM Airlines Group’s exceptional service and complementary route network, and to welcoming more LATAM customers on board our flights between South America and the United States.”

Currently, the agreement between LATAM and Delta allows LATAM Pass® and Delta SkyMiles® members to accumulate miles/points in the respected frequent flyer programs, as well as benefits such as priority boarding, extra baggage, and VIP lounge access for select customers. Guests of either airline can conveniently connect between Delta and LATAM flights where the airlines have relocated to the same terminal, including Terminal 4 at New York-JFK and Terminal 3 at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo. This convenience will also soon be available at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport’s Terminal 2 in Santiago, Chile.
