Korean Air will launch inaugural service between Seoul and Budapest on October 3, 2022. The route will operate once weekly Mondays with a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner. During October, the carrier will also resume service to Dubai, Phuket and Chiang Mai.
On Wednesday (August 31, 2022), Korean Air announced the launch of new service between Seoul and Budapest, Hungary from October 3, 2022. The route will operate once weekly on Mondays and will be serviced with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The departing flight will take off from Seoul Incheon at 11:25 and arrive in Budapest at 17:05, while the return flight will depart Budapest the next day at 19:15 and will arrive in Seoul at 12:50+1 (all times local). From October 31, 2022, the carrier will offer twice weekly services between Seoul and Budapest on Mondays and Saturdays. The flights will depart Seoul Incheon at 12:25 and arrive in Budapest at 17:15, while the return flights will depart Budapest at 19:35 and land in Seoul at 14:15+1 (all times local).
Additionally, from October 1st, 2022, Korean Air will resume three weekly flights between Seoul Incheon and Dubai on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an Airbus A330-300. Flights will depart Seoul Incheon at 13:20 and arrive in Dubai at 18:55, while the return flight will depart Dubai at 23:00 and arrive in Seoul at 12:40+1 (all times local). The carrier will also restart flights from Seoul to Phuket and Chiang Mai in Thailand. Fights to Phuket will operate four times weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flights will depart Seoul at 17:55 and arrive in Phuket at 22:00, while the return flights will depart Phuket at 23:20 and arrive in Seoul at 07:55+1 (all times local).
Korean Air will also relaunch four weekly flights between Seoul and Chiang Mai, which will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route will be serviced with a Boeing 737-800NG, with flights departing Seoul at 17:55 and arriving in Chiang Mai at 21:30. The return flight will depart Chiang Mai at 23:00 and arrive back in Seoul at 06:25+1 (all times local).
