JetBlue Launches New Service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida from New York-JFK and Boston

JetBlue has today announced the launch of inaugural service between New York-JFK and Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida (VPS). Later today, the carrier will also launch new direct service from Boston to VPS.

On Thursday (March 5, 2026), JetBlue announced the launch of inaugural service to Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) with its first flight from New York (JFK), marking a major milestone for the Emerald Coast and expanding the airline’s growing Florida network. This is JetBlue’s 11th Florida destination. The airline also will launch new nonstop service between VPS and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) today, further connecting the Florida panhandle with the Northeast. Celebrating the new service, JetBlue is offering limited-time introductory one-way fares from $69 (T&Cs apply).
In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s VP – Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, Dave Jehn, said,
“Today’s first flight from New York marks an exciting new chapter for the Emerald Coast. With nonstop access to both JFK and Boston, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to travel between the Northeast and one of Florida’s most sought-after beach destinations, while also giving local residents convenient connections to JetBlue’s broader network.”
Also commenting on the new service, Okaloosa County’s Board Chairman, Trey Goodwin, added,
“This is an incredible addition to our passenger service at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The success of our airport relies on the success of our partners and we are excited to welcome JetBlue to the VPS family.”

Located along Florida’s Panhandle, Destin–Fort Walton Beach is known for its white sand beaches and emerald-colored water. With world-class fishing and a relaxed coastal charm, the region appeals to many leisure travelers, including Spring Break vacationers. From April 17th through April 26, 2026, JetBlue will operate two daily nonstop flights between Boston and Destin-Fort Walton Beach to bring even more Spring Breakers to the area.
