On Wednesday (June 14, 2023), JetBlue announced the introduction of an all-new standard livery design, reflecting the carrier’s role as an innovative, industry-disrupting brand. The new bold, all-blue ‘icon in the sky’ livery gives JetBlue a standout visual design as they expand to new markets, bringing customer-centric offerings across the travel industry. The first aircraft to receive the new livery is an Airbus A321 with Mint® named ‘A Defining MoMint’ which will enter service on June 15, 2023. The carrier will then refresh all standard current liveries as part of their routing aircraft painting cycle.

In Wednesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Head of Marketing and Loyalty, Jayne O’Brien, said,

“Liveries have always been a part of our identity. When you spot a JetBlue aircraft—whether on the ground or in the air—we want customers to recognize us as a travel brand that moves them differently than everyone else. The new livery helps us stand out among a sky of legacy carriers, and is a stunning reflection of our role as a disruptor that uniquely combines lower fares and great service.”

The refreshed livery features an all-blue fuselage, reflecting the company’s namesake color, while iconic tailfin patterns have now been extended to the rear quarter of the fuselage. A larger JetBlue logo represents the carrier’s bold impact on the airline industry, while colorful winglets add an extra ‘pop’ of fun with a refreshed palette of accent colors. The aircraft’s pattern and JetBlue logo on the aircraft’s belly will make it instantly recognizable to plane-spotters. The bright, colorful, elements featured in the new delivery design are also echoed in JetBlue’s new visual brand identity that rolled out on digital assets and social platforms earlier this year. This is JetBlue’s first brand refresh in a decade, with the new colors and designs reflecting a more joyful, contemporary and digital-first appearance.
