JetBlue Appoints Jeff Winter as New Vice President of JetBlue University

JetBlue has appointed Jeff Winter as the new Vice President of JetBlue University. He will be based in Orlando, Florida, reporting to Warren Christie, JetBlue’s Head of Safety, Security, Fleet Operations and JetBlue University.

On Thursday (April 21, 2022), JetBlue announced the appointment of Jeff Winter as the new Vice President of JetBlue University. Mr. Winter will be based in Orlando and report directly to Warren Christie, JetBlue’s Head of Safety, Security, Fleet Operations and JetBlue University. With locations in Orlando, New York and Salt Lake City, JetBlue University offers new hire and recurrent training for the airline’s airports, customer support, flight operations, inflight system operations, technical operations crewmembers, as well as pilot training services for a variety of other airlines around the world.


In today’s announcment, JetBlue’s Head of Safety, Security, Fleet Operations and JetBlue University, Warren Christie, said,

With Jeff’s experience in flight operations, aviation, and training, he brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge with him that will benefit our JetBlue University program and our crewmembers. He’s been a terrific leader since joining JetBlue and will be an important asset to JetBlue University.”


Also commenting on his new role at JetBlue University, Jeff Winter added,

Jeff Winter joined JetBlue in 2015 and has held various roles in flight operations, training and project management. Most recently, he served as Director, Flight Operations Planning and Analytics. Before joining JetBlue, Winter served in the U.S. Navy for over 32 years, mainly as an FA-18 pilot and flight instructor. His non-flying duties also included writing strategy and developing counter-terrorism plans at the U.S. Special Operations Command.
