JetBlue and Barclays Launch JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard

JetBlue has today announced that in partnership with Barclays US Consumer Bank, they are launching the new JetBlue World Elite Mastercard®.  The carrier’s first-ever premium card offers lounge access, priority boarding, free checked bags and more.

On Wednesday (January 29, 2025), JetBlue announced the launch of their first-ever premium co-branded credit card in partnership with Barclays US Consumer Bank.  The new JetBlue World Elite Mastercard® card offers elite benefits such as complimentary lounge access, priority boarding, free checked bags and more.  From today, customers can apply for the new card and take advantage of a limited-time offer, benefitting from 70,000 True Blue points and 5 tiles toward Mosaic qualification after spending $5,000 in the first three months.   


In Wednesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Vice President of Loyalty and Benefits, Chris Buckner, said,


“Adding products and perks our customers want is a key part of our JetForward plan, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce the JetBlue Premier Card.  As our first-ever premium credit card, designed with input from our customers and most loyal Mosaic members, it builds on the perks of our TrueBlue and Mosaic programs to deliver more benefits both on the ground and in the air.  With features crafted to compete with other top-tier travel cards, the Premier Card gives JetBlue fans more reasons to love our award-winning experience, while earning extra points and enjoying exclusive benefits before takeoff.”


Also commenting on the launch of the new JetBlue World Elite Mastercard®, Barclays US Consumer Bank’s Head of the JetBlue Partnership, Tim Mills, added,

The new JetBlue Premier Card has an annual fee of $499 (plus $150 for each authorized user), and includes a wide range of travel benefits designed to enhance every trip.  Premier Cardmembers will enjoy complimentary lounge access for themselves, plus one guest, to JetBlue’s recently announced New York JFK’s Terminal 5 lounge (opening late 2025), and Boston Logan’s (BOS) Terminal C, opening soon after.  Additionally, cardmembers will have access to over 1,500 Priority Pass™ member lounges, Minute Suites, and Be Relax Spas across over 600 airports in in more than 145 countries.


Additionally, JetBlue World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers can earn up to $300 in annual statement credits for Paisly travel purchases, with a $50 credit for each qualifying transaction of $250 or more (up to six transactions per calendar year).  Customers will also receive a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee statement credit up to $120 every four years, Group A Boarding with up to four eligible travel companions, and a first free checked bag for Premier Cardmembers and up to four eligible travel companions.   


Other perks include 5,000 bonus points per year on account anniversary date (after payment of annual fee), a 10 percent points redemption bonus after traveling on a JetBlue-operated Award Flight, as well as points redemption for a statement credit for purchases of $25 or more.  Onboard, Premium Cardmembers will also save 50 percent on eligible food and drink purchases.  The card also does not charge foreign transaction fees.  Additionally, cardmembers will earn TrueBlue points and tiles quickly with both travel spend and everyday purchases, including 6x points per $1 spend on eligible JetBlue, Paisly and JetBlue Vacations® purchases, 2x points per $1 spent at restaurants and eligible grocery stores, and 1x points per $1 spent on all other purchases.
