JetBlue has today announced an expansion of their Upstate New York network with new service from Buffalo to Fort Myers and San Juan, as well as new service from Syracuse to Fort Lauderdale. The carrier also launched five new destinations from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

On Wednesday (December 3, 2025), JetBlue announced an expansion of their Upstate New York network, as well as to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The carrier will launch new nonstop service from Buffalo (BUF) to both Fort Myers (RSW) and San Juan (SJU), along with new service between Syracuse (SYR) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) beginning in March 2026. These additions continue JetBlue’s ongoing commitment to invest in and grow their presence across Upstate and Western New York, building on the carrier’s recently announced plan to launch service between Rochester (ROC) and Orlando (MCO).
In Wednesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s VP – Network Planning and Airport Partnerships, Dave Jehn, said,
“Upstate New York continues to be a key growth region for JetBlue, and today’s announcement is another example of our long-term commitment to our home state. Customers across the Upstate area know and trust JetBlue for our low fares and the experience we deliver like our comfortable onboard seating, free high-speed Wi-Fi, free seatback entertainment, and the caring, award-winning service our crewmembers provide. We’re excited to bring more of what travelers love about JetBlue to Buffalo and Syracuse.”
In a separate press release on Wednesday (December 3, 2025), JetBlue announced a major expansion of their San Juan (SJU) focus city with five new routes, including nonstop service to Philadelphia (PHL), Jacksonville (JAX), Norfolk (ORF), Richmond (RIC), and Buffalo. From spring 2026, the carrier will operate year-round service to all five markets.
Speaking on the San Juan focus city expansion, JetBlue’s President Marty St. George, said,
“Puerto Rico has shaped JetBlue’s identity for more than two decades. Our newest routes only deepen our commitment to the island and the communities that have been part of JetBlue’s story since 2002. We’re proud to continue investing in Puerto Rico and creating more travel opportunities for customers across our growing network.”

JetBlue operates more seats and serves more destinations between Puerto Rico and the mainland U.S. than any other airline, making it the largest carrier on the island with service from San Juan, Aguadilla, and Ponce. Including the new routes announced today, JetBlue will operate flights to 22 nonstop destinations from San Juan, with an average of over 40 daily departures next spring.
