ITA Airways to Add Another Direct Rome Fiumicino to New York JFK Flight From June 1st, 2023

To meet increasing demand, ITA Airways will add another nonstop flight between Rome Fiumicino and New York-JFK flight, expanding the route frequency to three times daily. The carrier also offers daily service between Milan Malpensa and New York-JFK.

On Monday (February 27, 2023), ITA Airways announced the addition of an extra nonstop flight between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and New York (JFK) from June 1st, 2023, expanding the frequency of flights on the route to three times daily. The airline also offers daily direct service between Milan Malpensa (MXP) and JFK. The additional Rome-New York frequency will be operated with an Airbus A330, with flight AZ602 departing Rome at 09:15 and landing in New York at 13:00 (all times local). The new return flight, AZ603, departs New York at 18:05, and arrives in Rome at 08:40. The other two daily frequencies, AZ608 and AZ610 depart Rome Fiumicino at 10:10 and 15:10, respectively, while the return flights AZ609 and AZ611, depart New York at 16:00 and 21:30, respectively.


For summer 2023, ITA Airways will also launch new service between Rome Fiumicino and Washington D.C. (IAD) with five weekly flights from June 2nd, increasing to daily service in August. Additionally, the carrier will start Rome-San Francisco service with three weekly flights from July 1st, increasing to five weekly flights in August. The Washington D.C. route will be operated with an Airbus A330, and San Francisco flights will be serviced with ITA Airways’ flagship Airbus A350. ITA recently announced their summer 2023 schedule with service to 68 destinations, including 22 domestic, 36 international and 10 intercontinental destinations.
