Iberia has announced the launch of a new partnership with Pegasus Airlines, which will connect Türkiye with Spain and Latin America through Iberia.

On Wednesday (October 22, 2025), Iberia announced the launch of a new codeshare partnership with Pegasus Airlines. Iberia customers will be able to fly directly to Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines’ flight from Madrid and connect to other destinations within Türkiye, including Izmir, Kayseri/Cappadocia, Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum and Adana. Likewise, Pegasus customers will also be able to fly to thirteen destinations operated by Iberia, such as Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, La Coruña, Asturias, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Vigo, Malaga, Seville, and Tenerife North — as well as to Lisbon in Portugal, and to São Paulo via a connection in Madrid.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Iberia’s Chief Commercial, Network Development and Alliances Officer, María Jesús López Solás, said,
“This agreement with Pegasus Airlines reinforces Iberia’s commitment to offering our customers more and better travel options, connecting Spain and Latin America with Turkey and expanding our codeshare network. It also benefits Pegasus customers, who will now have easier access to several destinations we operate.”
Also commenting on the new codeshare partnership, Pegasus Airlines’ Group Director, Sales and Network Planning, Emre Pekesen, said,
“We are delighted to sign this new agreement with Iberia and provide our passengers with enhanced connections across Türkiye, Spain, Portugal and Latin America. This is a very special moment for our airlines, and we look forward to a long working relationship.”
For customers booking codeshared itineraries, the booking system will automatically account for the connection time between Iberia flights, which operate from Terminal 4, and Pegasus flights, which operate from Terminal 1 at Madrid-Barajas Airport, ensuring a smooth transfer experience for passengers. Additionally, the airport provides a free shuttle bus service between terminals, making transfers between flights easier and more convenient.
