Iberia has announced the appointment on Enrique Robledo as the carrier’s new Maintenance Director. Mr. Robledo will succeed Andy Best, who will take on the same role at IAG sister carrier British Airways from April 17, 2023.
On Wednesday (February 1, 2023), Iberia announced the appointment of Enrique Robledo as the airline’s new Maintenance Director. Mr. Robledo succeeds Andy Best, who has led Iberia Maintenance for the last two years, and will take the same role at Iberia’s IAG sister carrier British Airways from April 17, 2023. Enrique Robledo has extensive aviation industry experience, and in his new role will be responsible for increasing Iberia’s Maintenance business internationally. He will also integrate new training for the servicing of CFM International LEAP engines for the Airbus A320neo.
Enrique Robledo will take up his new post on March 17, 2023. Currently he serves as Iberia’s Director at Madrid-Barajas Airport, and that position will be taken on provisionally by the airline’s current Director of Airport Services, José Luis de Luna. Mr. Robledo is an Aeronautical Engineer who holds a PhD in Psychology and a Master’s degree from International University in Spain (IE). He started his career at Airbus and British Aerospace before joining Iberia in 1999. Since then, he has held various positions in the Maintenance business, including Head of Materials Planning, and Deputy Manager of the Engine Workshop.
