Frontier Airlines Launches Inaugural Nonstop Service Between Rochester and Orlando

Frontier Airlines is launching new nonstop service today between Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International Airport in upstate New York to Orlando, Florida. The route will be operated three-times weekly with introductory one-way fares from $39.

On Thursday (May 20, 2021) Frontier Airlines announced the launch of inaugural service today between Frederick Douglass – Rochester International Airport (ROC) in upstate New York and Orlando International Airport (MCO). The route will be operated three-times weekly, and to celebrate the launch, Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares from only $39. T o qualify for the promo fare offer, tickets must be booked by 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 27, 2021 for travel on select days through June 18, 2021. A three-day advance purchase is required, but a roundtrip booking is not required.


In Thursday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,


“We’re elated to begin service in Rochester with nonstop flights to Orlando. Frontier’s low fares and friendly service make it possible for more people to fly more often and we look forward to welcoming Upstate New Yorkers onboard for their next sun-filled vacation this summer.”


Also commenting on the new service, Monroe County Executive, Adam Bello, added,


“We’re so excited to have Frontier Airlines coming to the Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International Airport. With so many residents in Monroe County and the Finger Lakes Region looking to enjoy the Florida sunshine throughout the year, I’m sure that nonstop flights to Orlando will be a hit for both Frontier Airlines and our local residents.”
