flydubai to Resume Service to Naples Starting July 1st, 2021

flydubai will resume service to Italy on July 1st, with three weekly flights to Naples International Airport. From June 2, 2021 a quarantine-free travel corridor has been established between the UAE and Italy, enabling travel with less restrictions.

On Wednesday (June 2, 2021), flydubai announced the resumption of three weekly flights between Dubai and Naples, Italy from July 1st, 2021. A quarantine-free travel corridor has been in effect between the UAE and Italy since Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Customers traveling to Italy from the UAE will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test 48 hours prior to departure and upon arrival in Italy, all passengers over the age of two will be required to take a rapid antigen test. The UAE has also established safe travel corridors with Bahrain, Greece and Serbia. The flights to Naples (NAP) will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.


In Wednesday’s announcement, flydubai’s Chief Commercial Officer, Hamad Obaidalla, said,


“We are pleased to see more countries opening up for safe tourism and is a step in the right direction to speed up recovery and boost travel this summer. This is a good sign that confidence in travel is returning and the efforts taken by stakeholders in the tourism industry to safeguard every step of the journey will benefit our passengers. We look forward to restarting our flights to Naples, a much-anticipated destination on the flydubai network.”


Also commenting on the resumed route, flydubai’s Senior Vice President – Commercial Operations and E-commerce, Jeyhun Efendi, said,


“We are excited to offer our passengers convenient travel options to some of the most popular holiday spots in Europe including Mykonos and Santorini. Naples is another popular destination for the summer and a great starting point to discover the beauty of the Amalfi coast. flydubai has made these European destinations more accessible for passengers from the UAE and the GCC and we look forward to restarting our operations to Catania in the coming few weeks.”

Starting August 1, 2021, flydubai will increase the frequency on the Dubai-Naples route to four flights weekly, and the service will be codeshared with Emirates. Other upcoming flights include service to Bodrum and Trabzon in Turkey from June 4th and 24th, respectively, as well as Sharm El Sheikh from June 15th and the Greek Islands of Santorini and Mykonos starting June 18th. Additionally, flydubai will resume flights to Batumi (Georgia) and Tivat (Montenegro) on June 25th and UAE residents will be issued visas upon arrival at both destinations.
