On Wednesday (March 15, 2023), flydubai announced the completion of their inaugural flight between Dubai (DXB) and Milan-Bergamo (BGY) on Friday, March 10th, expanding their Italian network to four destinations. The route will operate five times weekly, with frequencies increasing to daily from April 18, 2023. The new Milan-Bergamo route joins existing service to Catania, Naples and Pisa. Flydubai will also launch nonstop service between Dubai and Cagliari from June 22, 2023. Emirates will codeshare on these routes and the flights will operate from DXB’s Terminal 3.

“We are pleased to see our network in Italy grow to four points since our first entry to the market in 2018 with the start of flights to Catania. There is a large demand for travel from Dubai and the region and our flights to Milan-Bergamo, as well as the other points in Italy, will give passengers the opportunity to enjoy convenient direct operations to some of Italy’s most attractive regions. We look forward to welcoming passengers from Italy onboard to Dubai and beyond onto the growing flydubai network.”
