On Thursday (December 8, 2022), Flair Airlines announced the launch of new daily service between Saskatoon and Calgary from May 9, 2023, following the route withdrawal by another airline. Residents of both Calgary and Saskatoon can now enjoy the best of both cities, from the Remai Modern or Wanuskewin in Saskatoon, to a playoff game for the Calgary Flames or the Calgary Stampede. Tickets are now available for booking from CAD $49, including taxes and fees.

In Thursday’s announcement, Flair Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Garth Lund, said,

“We know how important it is for Saskatoon to be connected to Calgary. There are so many Saskatchewanians and Albertans with connections between the two cities — be it for family, friends or work, so this is a natural fit. And Flair Airlines can make it work at the lowest fares ever between the two cities.”

Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) and the company’s mission is to make travel accessible and affordable for all Canadians. The airline operates a growing fleet of Next Generation Boeing 737-800s and 737-8s, and serves over 30 Canadian, U.S. and Mexican destinations. The airline plans on growing their fleet to 50 aircraft by 2025.
