Finnair to Add More flights Between Helsinki and Asia for Summer 2023

For summer 2023, Finnair will resume flights between Helsinki and Osaka with three weekly flights, and increase frequencies to Tokyo-Narita. The carrier will also increase service from Helsinki to Hong Kong and Delhi to daily flights.

On Tuesday (December 20, 2022), Finnair announced that they will add flights between Helsinki and Asia for summer 2023, due to increasing demand. The carrier will resume service to Osaka with three weekly flights, while also increasing frequencies to Tokyo-Narita. Finnair will also increase to daily the frequencies between Helsinki and both Hong Kong and Delhi next summer. From March 26, 2023, flights from Helsinki to Osaka will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while the return flights from Osaka will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Starting March 27, 2023, service from Helsinki to Tokyo-Narita will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while return flights from Tokyo will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The new Tokyo-Narita service will complement Finnair’s daily service to Tokyo-Haneda.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ole Orvér said,


“We are happy to be able to respond to the increasing travel demand between Europe and key Asian destinations. In summer 2023, we will be operating altogether 14 weekly connections between Finland and Japan, and we have daily connections to Delhi and Hong Kong. The Helsinki Airport with its spacious new facilities offers an excellent experience both for customers visiting Finland and for those who continue onwards to one of our many European destinations.”


Finnair’s flights between Helsinki and Japan are operated in conjunction with the carrier’s codeshare partners Japan Airlines and British Airways.
