Eva Air Announces Direct Service From Taipei to Phuket, Thailand Starting April 2020

On Wednesday, Eva Air announced new service from Taipei to Phuket beginning April 2, 2020, making Eva Air the only airline offering nonstop service from Taipei to the popular Thai destination.

Today, Eva Air announced that they would become the only airline flying directly from Taipei to Phuket, trimming the average length of the trip by around six hours. The new service will begin on April 2, 2020 and the route will be operated three times a week. In Wednesday’s announcement, Eva Air’s President, Mr. Clay Sun said,


“Phuket is a world famous travel destination. With the launch of this new service, EVA will expand its Southeast Asian network to 13 destinations, offering 145 flights every week.”


The new EVA Air route will be served by an Airbus A330-200 configured with 24 Royal Laurel Class business and 228 Economy Class seats, for a total capacity of 252 passengers.


The largest island off the southeast coast of Thailand, Phuket offers breathtaking scenery with glittering seas and white sand beaches. From water activities to a bustling nightlife and rich dining culture, the island offers holidaymakers a respite from the stress of modern day cities.
