On Wednesday (June 2, 2021), Etihad Airways announced the resumption of service from Abu Dhabi to Rabat, Morocco and Phuket in Thailand. Service to Rabat will operate twice weekly, while Phuket flights will be offered three times per week. Both routes will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring Economy Space and Neighbor-free seating options. Etihad recently launched ‘Verified to Fly’ allowing guests to validate their COVID-19 travel documents before arriving at the airport for departure. Customers who use the service will also enjoy fast-track check-in at the airport. To use the service, guests are invited to sign-up by visiting etihad.com/en/manage.
As previously announced, Etihad has launched an home check-in service which can be booked up to seven hours prior to departure. The service allows customers to check their bags, choose their seats and collect their boarding passes and luggage tags, all from the comfort of their home in Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, all non-transit passengers that have used the service can skip the queues baggage free, making for a seamless airport experience. Guests will still have to collect their luggage at the destination baggage claim belt.
