On Friday (November 10, 2023), Emirates outlined their plans for the Dubai Airshow 2023, which will take place next week (November 13-17). The A380 to be displayed at the show is one of the first of ten aircraft to have undergone a full refresh as part of the airline’s $2 billion retrofit program, and will feature Premium Economy Class, along with refreshed interiors and enhancements across all cabins. During the first afternoon of the show, Emirates will participate in a fly past with the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, joined by partner UAE commercial airlines, followed by the UAE’s air-display team, Al Fursan.
Emirates’ DAS 23 exhibit, open to all Dubai Airshow visitors, will highlight a number of the airline’s divisions. One feature this year will be the ‘employee experience’ where visitors can experience cabin crew training in gamified environments set in an Emirates aircraft. This will offer guests a view into future simulated experiences, providing a cutting-edge approach to learning and service skills development. The Emirates Official Store will also be at the stand, where visitors can purchase aircraft models, including a show-exclusive die-cast Airbus A350 model, and other popular aviation and travel merchandise.
Additionally, the Emirates Flight Training Academy will display their newest and most advanced Diamond DA42-VI training aircraft, along with the single-engine Cirrus SR 22. Instructors will also be on hand to provide information amount EFTA’s world-class flight training program. Another feature this year will be the ‘Emirates Future Customer Journey’, showcasing an enhanced barrier-free airport experience for travelers, enabled by advanced biometrics in partnership with Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs (GDRFA) and Dubai Airport.
