Fans of the popular and iconic Airbus A380 super-jumbo jet will now have more opportunities to experience the comfortable and spacious cabin when flying with Emirates. On Monday (August 3, 2020), the carrier announced that they will deploy the A380 on their route between Dubai and Guangzhou, China. Additionally, this week Emirates resumed A380 service to Amsterdam and Cairo and added an additional daily service between Dubai and London-Heathrow. In August, Emirates will resume service to 68 destinations or 50 percent of their pre-pandemic schedule. Currently, Emirates’ guests can enjoy A380 service to five destinations with daily service to Amsterdam, four-weekly flights to Cairo, twice-daily service to London, daily service to Paris and twice-weekly service to Guangzhou (from August 8, 2020).

Additionally, over the last week Emirates has resumed flights from Dubai to Addis Ababa, Clark, Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, Prague, São Paulo, Stockholm, and the Seychelles. Customers traveling between the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region can enjoy convenient connections via Dubai. Customers can also enjoy a stopover or holiday in Dubai as the city is now open to international and leisure travelers. All inbound passengers to the UAE will require a COVID-19 PCR test, including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, regardless of their departure country.

Emirates wants their guests to travel with confidence and has therefore committed to covering all COVID-19 related medical expenses, free of cost, should they be diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel. The coverage is available to customers traveling in all cabins when their first flight is completed on or before October 31, 2020. The protection will remain valid for an additional 31 days after arriving at their first destination with Emirates, even if they travel onwards to another city. As an added convenience, no registration is required, and a hotline has been set up for assistance and coverage. If a customer’s travel plans are impacted by COVID-19 related flight or travel restrictions, their tickets will remain valid for 24 months. Emirates’ guests can rebook for travel later, request travel vouchers or receive a refund via an online form.

Premium guests can enjoy Emirates’ Chauffeur Drive service and relax in the airline’s signature lounge facility at Dubai International Airport. The carrier has also implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the guest journey to ensure the health and wellbeing of their guests and team members. Emirates also distributes complimentary hygiene kits which include masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes. The airline reminds their valued guests that as travel restrictions remain in place in many areas, only travelers in compliance with destination eligibility and entry requirements will be accepted on flights.
