Emirates will resume four weekly flights between Dubai and Nice from July 2nd, while four weekly flights to Lyon will restart on July 9, 2021. Starting tomorrow (June 9th), the lifting of entry restrictions will allow UAE travelers to visit France quarantine-free.
On Tuesday (June 8, 2021), Emirates announced that they will resume service to Nice and Lyon as France is reopening for quarantine-free travel tomorrow (June 9th). Starting July 2nd, Emirates will offer four weekly flights between Dubai and Nice, while four weekly flights to Lyon will commence on July 9, 2021. To qualify for quarantine-free travel to France, travelers must have completed a two week period after receiving both doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech or AstraZeneca vaccines. Additionally, customers must hold a negative COVID-19 PCR test valid for 72 hours prior to departure or a rapid antigen test no more than 48 hours old.
The routes to both Nice and Lyon will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER. Emirates flight EK077 will depart Dubai for Nice on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 08:45 and arrive at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport at 13:40. The return flight, EK078, departs Nice at 15:55, arriving in Dubai at 00:10 the next day. Flights to Lyon, EK081, will depart Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 14:35 and arrive at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport at 19:30, while the return flight, EK082, departs Lyon at 21:45 and arrives in Dubai at 06:05 the next day.
Emirates currently operates 14 weekly Airbus A380 flagship flights to and from Paris, featuring the latest premium economy product and a refreshed experience across all cabins. In addition to the resumed service to France, Emirates’ guests can now plan quarantine-free travel to over 30 destinations in 19 countries across the airline’s extensive international network.
