Emirates has launched an interline partnership with Mexico’s Aeromar which will provide seamless connectivity to and from 12 destinations in Mexico and the U.S. via Mexico City, as well as onward connections via Dubai to Emirates’ global network.
Today (August 3, 2021), Emirates announced the launch of a new interline agreement with Mexican carrier Aeromar. The partnership will provide seamless connectivity via Mexico City to 12 destinations in Mexico and the U.S. and to Emirates’ extensive global network via Dubai. Customers will now be able to book tickets to/from these destinations and connect to Emirates’ flights EK 256/255 between Mexico City, Barcelona and Dubai. From Dubai, guests will enjoy connections to over 120 cities worldwide. With the interline agreement, customers can book their entire journey on a single ticket and enjoy a uniform baggage policy and fare conditions. Emirates resumed service from Dubai to Mexico City via Barcelona on July 2, 2021 with four weekly flights.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, said,

The strength of Aeromar’s regional flight network will allow us to connect a large number of travellers from cities in Mexico and Texas, United States to our global network via Mexico City, Barcelona and Dubai. Customers will not only have the opportunity to experience Emirates’ signature hospitality and flight experience but will also have the convenience of booking their journey from Mexico on a single ticket available online on Emirates’ website or through their travel agents.”
Also commenting on the new interline partnership, Aeromar’s Executive Director – Fabricio Cojuc, added,

The agreement is a testament to Aeromar´s high quality standards and further enhances our strong interline cooperation portfolio, which includes several industry leading international airlines serving Mexico.
Destinations in Mexico covered by the agreement include Acapulco (ACA), Veracruz (VER), Puerto Escondido (PXM), Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH), Ixtepec (IZT), Colima (CLQ), Cuidad Victoria (CVM), Lazaro Cardenas (LZC), Piedras Negras (PDS) and Tepic (TPQ), as well as Laredo (LRD) and McAllen in Texas. In addition to the new interline partnership with Aeromar, Emirates already offers service to 10 Mexican destinations through existing airline partnerships.
Founded in 1987, Mexico City-based AEROMAR is Mexico’s most experienced regional airline. The carrier operates a network of 19 domestic routes in Mexico and four international routes to Texas in the U.S. (Laredo and McAllen). AEROMAR operates a fleet of 10 ATR 42 and 72 aircraft, nine of which are the new generation 600 series.
