On Wednesday (November 18, 2020), Emirates announced an expansion of their flagship Airbus A380 service to London-Heathrow, Manchester and Moscow. Flights to London-Heathrow will operate four times daily, Manchester six times weekly and Moscow flights will operate daily. Emirates will also add flights to Birmingham and Glasgow, following the establishment of an air corridor between the UK and the UAE. The four daily A380 flights to London-Heathrow will start on November 27th, while the six weekly flights to Manchester will be available from December 2nd. Frequencies to Moscow will be increased from twice-weekly to daily starting November 25, 2020.

Flights to Birmingham and Glasgow will increase from four-times weekly to daily service starting November 27th and December 1st, respectively. Emirates will increase frequencies to Manchester from eight to ten weekly flights from December 1st, with six A380 flights and four Boeing 777-300ER flights. The carrier’s current twice-daily A380 and once-daily B777 flights to London-Heathrow will become four daily A380 services starting November 27, 2020. The additional service to and from Moscow allows more flexibility for holidaymakers wishing to visit Dubai or to seamless connect to other popular destinations within Emirates’ network such as the Maldives.

Thanks to the new UK-UAE air travel corridor, guests entering the UK from the UAE will no longer be required to quarantine. This advancement in travel flexibility between the two countries reflects the rigorous and effective pandemic response undertaken by the United Arab Emirates. UK customers traveling to the UAE have the option of taking a COVID-19 test 96 hours to departure or can choose to take the test upon arrival in Dubai.
