Today (January 28, 2021), easyJet announced the launch of a new Standard Plus fare bundle. The new fare includes key popular add-on products including a premium ‘Up Front’ seat, a large carry-on overhead bag, speedy boarding and a dedicated easyJet bag drop. Customers will still have the option to add other premium products and services during the booking process. The new Standard Plus fare class joins the carrier’s existing Standard Fare and Flexi Fare offerings. In Thursday’s announcement, easyJet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sophie Dekkers, said,
“We are pleased to be introducing Standard Plus which combines our most popular products like Speedy Boarding and an Up front seat into one bundle so customers can see the total cost at the first stage of booking. By having three fare options – the Standard Fare where customers can find the lowest prices without any of the extras, the Standard Plus which bundles up key benefits and the Flexi Fare which includes added flexibility, means we can help customers quickly select all the products best suited to their needs.”
easyJet’s Standard Fare comes with a small under seat cabin bag and no other extras. The new Standard Plus Fare includes an allocated front seat, rapid boarding, a dedicated bag drop, a small under seat cabin bag and a large overhead cabin bag. The Flexi Fare includes an up front or standard seat free of additional charge, discounted Extra legroom seat, a 23kg hold bag, bistro voucher, speedy boarding, a small under seat and large overhead cabin bag, dedicated bag drop, fast track security and +1 and -1 day unlimited flight changes. The new Standard Plus fare will only appear if there are Up front seats available.
