Delta Air Lines has appointed Nicolas Ferri as the company’s new Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India effective November 1, 2021. Mr. Ferri will be based in Paris and oversee key strategic commercial and guest experience initiatives.
On Thursday (October 21, 2021), Delta Air Lines announced the appointment of Nicolas Ferri as the company’s new Vice President – Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) effective November 1st, 2021. Mr. Ferri will be based in Paris and oversee key strategic and customer experience initiatives in the region, working closely with Delta’s European Joint Venture partners Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic, as the carrier focuses on rebuilding their transatlantic network.
In Thursday’s announcement, Delta’s President – International, Alain Bellemare, said,
“Delta is the preferred carrier across the Atlantic, and Nicolas’ vast international and alliances experience will be vital to our continued success as demand picks up and we reopen travel corridors across the region. With customers returning to the skies, we look ahead to 2022 and the rebuilding of our international portfolio with optimism.”
Also commenting on his new role at Delta, Nicolas Ferri, said,
“It’s a pivotal moment joining the EMEAI team and leading our regional efforts as the U.S. reopens to international travel. I’m looking forward to meeting our customers and working closely with our partners to grow our business and build on Delta/Air France/KLM/Virgin Atlantic’s leading trans-Atlantic joint venture.”
Since August 2019, Mr. Ferri served as Chief Commercial Officer for Delta’s partner, Aeromexico, where he led the carrier’s revenue management, network planning, corporate strategy distribution, global sales, alliances, e-commerce, customer care and loyalty functions. Nicolas Ferri has been with Delta Air Lines for 10 years, serving in leadership positions across the airline’s alliances, international and commercial divisions, with previous roles including Vice President – Latin America, and Vice President – Alliances Americas. He brings broad industry experience and has lived and worked in 10 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Ferri is also fluent in English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
