After taking delivery of their first brand new Airbus A321neo on June 19th, Condor’s first passenger revenue flight on the new aircraft departed on Friday (June 28th) with service between Frankfurt and Tenerife South.
On Friday (June 28, 2024), Condor announced the launch of passenger revenue service of their first new Airbus A321neo. Flight DE1478 departed Frankfurt (FRA) at 13:00 on Friday (June 28th) with service to Tenerife South (TFS) in the Canary islands. In the coming days, the aircraft will be deployed from Düsseldorf to the Greek islands of Chania, Heraklion, Preveza or Kos, as well as Jerez de la Frontera and Pristina in Kosovo. Condor’s new 233-seat A321neo is configured with Business Class and Economy Class cabins.
Onboard the new aircraft, guests will enjoy the carrier’s complimentary ‘FlyConnect’ onboard IFE system, featuring a wide range of movies, music and magazines for streaming on personal devices. Guests can also purchase a variety of data packages to stay connected inflight via the FlyConnect platform. Condor’s new A321neo also features larger overhead bin, custom mood lighting, and a stylish and elegant design featuring the carrier’s new brand identity. The color palette creates a feel-good atmosphere, preparing guests for the short and long-haul holiday experience.
Since March 2024, Condor’s entire long-haul fleet has only been operated with brand new state-of-the art Airbus A330neo widebody jets. The carrier is now continuing the modernization of their short and medium-haul fleet with 43 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft on order. The new A321neo, registration D-ANMZ, is the first of 28 A321neos on order by the carrier. Last May, Condor took delivery of their first new Airbus A320neo, which features Condor’s ‘Passion’ livery. Condor’s new Airbus A320/321neo jets feature Pratt & Whitney’s latest-generation engines which reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 20 percent, and also offer a 50 percent smaller noise footprint compared to previous generation engines.
