Today (July 30, 2020), Cebu Pacific announced that they will expand their international schedule in August with service to key Asian gateways. From August 1st, 2020, the carrier will offer twice-weekly flights between Manila and Tokyo-Narita on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The airline will also resume twice-weekly flights to Singapore on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as weekly service on Thursdays from Seoul-Incheon to Manila starting August 6, 2020. Additionally, from August 7, 2020, Cebu Pacific will offer twice weekly service on Wednesdays and Fridays between Manila and Taipei, as well as one-way flights to Manila from Osaka-Kansai on Fridays. In Thursday’s announcement, Cebu Pacific’s Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience, Candice Iyog said,

“We are taking a conservative and agile approach to rebuilding our international network. While demand remains soft, there is latent demand for travel, particularly from stranded individuals and those who are eager to come home to visit their families. We have taken extra precautions to ensure travelers that preventive measures are in place so we can start rebuilding the trust and confidence in air travel.”

Government travel regulations from the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan will be implemented as required, including the requirement to achieve a negative RT-PCR test prior to departure, mandatory COVID-19 screening or tests and mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival. In accordance with global safety standards, Cebu Pacific has implemented health and safety protocols across the entire guest journey, from online check-in to ground facilities and contactless flight procedures. The carrier’s aircraft undergo extensive disinfection before, during and after all flights, and are equipped with hospital operating theater grade HEPA filters that remove 99.9 percent of airborne particulates, including viruses. Cebu Pacific has also introduced enhanced flexibility for guests with unlimited rebooking and extension of their ‘Travel Fund’ validity for up to two years.
