On Monday (March 1, 2021) Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced that in celebration of their 25th anniversary, the carrier has launched a first ever month long sale with seats from PHP 25. The special fare is available to any Philippine destination through March 31, 2021. CEB operates the widest network in the Philippines with flights tom and from key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao as well as service to popular leisure destinations including Boracay, Bohol, Coron, Siargao, and Puerto Princesa. In addition to the seat sale, Cebu Pacific is also offering 25 percent off ancillary flight add-ons.

In Monday’s announcement, Cebu Pacific’s Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience, Candace Iyog, said,

On our 25th year, we remain humbled to be part of our passengers’ stories and life journeys. We are in full support of the simplification of travel requirements, and expect to welcome more guests onto our flights in the coming months. Throughout our 25 years, we have celebrated countless wonderful moments with our guests. We look forward to #MoreSmilesAhead, as everyJuan flies again.”

Cebu Pacific began operations on March 8, 1996 with inaugural service between Manila and Cebu. Since then, the company has been committed to flying where Filipinos are, from their first international flight to Hong Kong in 2001, to their first low-cost long-haul flight to Dubai in 2013. The carrier also received their first ATR 72-500 turboprop in 2008, paving the way for inter-island connectivity.

In a separate press release on Tuesday (March 2, 2021), Cebu Pacific announced the permanent elimination of change fees, allowing guest to rebook as often as they need. Speaking on the new policy, Candice Iyog added,

In a recent survey we conducted, flexibility remains to be one of the considerations of our passengers when deciding to travel again. Because of this, we are removing our change fee effective immediately. As we work on rebuilding our network and supporting domestic tourism, we will continue to listen to our passengers so we can make it even more convenient for everyJuan to fly again. This is a timely announcement as well, as we support the recent IATF announcement on the standardized travel requirements, and as we celebrate our 25th founding anniversary this month.”

Recently, Philippine Government authorities (IATF) announced that travel authorities and health certificates will no longer be required for travel and only those showing COVID-19 symptoms will be required to quarantine. Customers can manage their booking online on the airline’s website through the “Manage Booking” portal. Bookings can be modified up to two hours prior to departure free of charge, though a small fare difference may still apply.
