Cathay and Hong Kong Disneyland Sign MoU to Enhance Inbound Tourism Offers

Cathay has today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, with the goal of unlocking synergistic opportunities to stimulate inbound tourism to Hong Kong.

On Tuesday (September 16, 2025), Cathay announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL), with the goal of uniting two iconic brands, and leveraging synergies to stimulate inbound tourism to Hong Kong.  A signing ceremony was held today at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, hosted by Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam, and HKDL Managing Director Michael Moriarty.  The beloved Mickey Mouse character was also present to commemorate this special moment.  As part of the agreement, Cathay and HKDL will explore opportunities for continued collaboration, including a product for travellers transiting in Hong Kong that is targeted to be launched in 2026.


Speaking at today’s signing event. Cathay Group’s CEO, Ronald Lam, said,

Also commenting at the event, Hong Kong Disneyland’s Managing Director, Michael Moriarty, said,
