British Airways has today announced the launch of their summer 2026 schedule, which includes more flying to popular destinations. Bangkok service will operate year-round, Miami flights will increase to twice-daily, and Jamaica will have an extra weekly flight, among others.

On Thursday (August 21, 2025), British Airways announced the launch of their summer 2026 flying program, which includes increased flights to popular long-haul destinations from London Heathrow and Gatwick. Following the addition of Bangkok last year, British Airways has confirmed that it will begin operating year-round flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, upgrading the route from its previous winter-only schedule. For summer 2026, the route will operate three times weekly, increasing to six weekly flights during the winter season.
In Thursday’s announcement, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, Neil Chernoff, said,
“We’re delighted to expand our long-haul network from London Heathrow and Gatwick next summer, adding more services to some of our most-loved destinations. Whether customers are travelling for business, leisure, or visiting loved ones, we hope they take advantage of these additional flights, which offer greater choice and convenience, making it easier than ever to connect with their favourite destinations around the world.”
British Airways will also add an additional weekly flight from London Gatwick to Kingston, Jamaica, and will operate a total of four weekly flights for summer 2026. The carrier will also reintroduce double-daily service from London Heathrow to Miami International Airport. Additionally, British Airways will reintroduce daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth. The carrier will also increase service between London Heathrow and Las Vegas from 10 to 13 weekly flights. Service to both San Diego (California) and Austin (Texas) will both also be boosted to 14 flights weekly.
Flights to New York-JFK will now operate exclusively from London Heathrow, improving connectivity for travellers with optimal onward connection times to Europe, the US, and beyond. The route will operate nine times weekly with a Boeing 777-200, featuring First and Club Suite (long-haul business class), offering a more premium experience for every guest traveling on the airline’s flagship route.
British Airways will also offer daily service from Heathrow to Bahrain, more than doubling the number of times they fly there per week. For travellers looking to explore the rich history of Saudi Arabia, flights to Jeddah will increase to five flights weekly, while Riyadh service will be boosted to 14 flights per week. Additionally, British Airways will offer 14 weekly flights to Doha, Qatar.
As previously announced, British Airways’ short-haul route map expanded earlier this year with the additions of Rabat in Morocco and Graz in Austria. BA Euroflyer, British Airways’ Gatwick-based subsidiary, also announced that they will operate year-round services to the capital of Morocco, Rabat, and Austrian city break destination, Graz from the winter 2025/26 season.
