On Tuesday (January 17, 2023), Binter announced the launch of new service to Granada and Ibiza for summer 2023. Flights to Granada (GRX) will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, while Ibiza (IBZ) service will operate once weekly on Thursdays. In total, Binter will connect the Canary Islands with over 30 destinations this summer, including service to 15 Spanish airports outside of the islands through 21 routes and up to 48 weekly frequencies. Fares to Granada start at €27.45 each way for Canary Island residents, and from €84.45 for non-resident passengers. Tickets for residents to Ibiza start at €35.60 each way. Binter will also continue connecting the Canary Islands with Mallorca (PMI) six days weekly, while Menorca (MAH) flights will be available for Easter.

The carrier will also add an additional frequency to Vigo (VGO) on Tuesdays, establishing the first Binter connection with a daily connection. Along with three weekly frequencies to A Coruña (LCG), the carrier will offer up to 10 weekly connections to Galicia. For summer 2023, the carrier will offer the largest schedule in their history, with over 650,000 seats on more than 45 routes, a year-over-year increase of 12 percent, and nearly triple the pre-pandemic period. As previously announced, Binter will also increase frequencies on routes from Ponta Delgada (PDL), Sal Island (SID) and Menorca (MAH), along with the seasonal route to Fez (FEZ), and direct connections from Madeira (FNC) to Marrakech (RAK), Fuerteventura (FUE), Lanzarote (ACE) and Tenerife Sur (TFS).

Founded in 1989, Binter began flying in the Canary Islands archipelago with service connecting the islands and a clear focus on public service. The company was acquired from the Iberia Group in 2002 by a group of Canarian investors, becoming a 100 percent Canary Islands company. In 2005, the airline began to operate flights outside of the Canary Islands with the goal of offering direct connections to other markets. In 2018, the airline began regular service to national destinations, first to Mallorca and Vigo, and later to Pamplona, Zaragoza, Murcia, Santander, Vitoria, Asturias and Jerez de la Frontera. Binter has since substantially expanded their domestic and international network.
