Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced on Wednesday the signing of a re-protection agreement with NovoAir. The agreement will allow domestic passengers of both airlines to fly on each other’s flights in the event their original flight was canceled or delayed.
On Wednesday (July 15, 2020), Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced a new passenger carriage agreement with NovoAir. Under the agreement, domestic passengers of both airlines can fly on either airline in the event a flight is cancelled or delayed. Similarly, in the case of international connection cancellations or delays, both companies will carry passengers of either airline back to Bangladesh. In a signing ceremony at Biman Bangladesh Airlines' headquarters in Balaka Bhaban on Wednesday, the agreement was signed by Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ Deputy General Manager, Mr. Mohammad Ali Osman Noor and NovoAir’s Head of Marketing and Sales, Mr. Mezbaul Islam. The ceremony was also attended by Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Mokabbir Hassan and NovoAir’s Managing Director, Mr. Mofizur Rahman as well as other senior officials of both airlines. In Wednesday’s announcement, Biman Bangladesh Airlines' Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Mokabbir Hossain said,
“I am pleased to have entered into such an agreement with NovoAir. Hopefully, as a result of this initiative of the two organizations, the honored passengers will get better service.”
Also commenting on Wednesday’s announcement, NovoAir’s Managing Director, Mr. Mofizur added,
“I am proud to have entered into such an agreement with the national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines. We hope that as a result of such mutual cooperation, the esteemed passengers will get better service. NovoAir and Biman Bangladesh Airlines will work together in the future for the development of the country’s aviation sector.”
