The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has today announced that Leonardo Hotels has joined the association as a new business partner.

On Tuesday (February 10, 2026), the Board of Airlines Representatives in Germany (BARIG) announced that the hotel group Leonardo Hotels is now cooperating with the international airline association. The portfolio of the international hotel chain comprises five brands, including Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal Hotels, Leonardo Boutique Hotels, NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels, and Leonardo Limited Edition. The Group has over 220 hotels across Europe, many of which are any located near airports. In Germany, for example, Leonardo Hotels has properties in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hanover, and Nuremberg.
In Tuesday’s announcement, BARIG’s Chairman and Executive Director, Michael Hoppe, said,
“We are delighted about the new business partnership with Leonardo Hotels, especially as they are represented not only in Germany but also at many important air traffic hubs throughout Europe. With this wide-ranging presence, Leonardo Hotels is a remarkable addition to our network.”
Also commenting on the new partnership, Leonardo Hotels’ Director of Sales – Airline Business, Roy Franke, said,
“Leonardo Hotels is a longtime partner of the aviation industry and works closely with numerous national and international airlines. The continuous exchange of experience with the industry enables us to refine our products and services specifically to the requirements of crews — for example, through flexible check-in and check-out models, room and hotel amenities, and special menu offerings. The partnership with BARIG further strengthens this dialogue and provides an ideal platform for presenting our solutions within the industry.”
Founded in 1951, Frankfurt am Main-based BARIG (Board of Airline Representatives in Germany e.V.) represents over 100 national and international airlines in the scheduled, charter, low cost and air cargo sectors. The association works to improve conditions in the aviation industry in Germany and is the key industry contact for politics, authorities, industry and media.
