American Airlines celebrated 100 exceptional team members at the company’s Annual Chairman’s Award gala dinner, which took place last Tuesday evening at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas. Award winners received a special trophy and pin, as well as $10,000.
In Thursday (November 4, 2021), American Airlines announced that the airline recently honored 100 exceptional team members at the Annual Chairman’s Award gala, which took place last Tuesday night (November 2nd) at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas. The annual dinner recognizes team members from across the airline for their servant leadership and longstanding commitment to customers, colleagues and the company. Recipient’s of the carrier’s highest honor receive notes of congratulation from friends and family, a special award trophy and pin, as well as $10,000.
In Thursday’s announcement, American Airlines’ Chairman and CEO, Doug Parker, said,
“Annual Chairman’s Award winners are customer and team member-minded, strategic thinkers, results-driven and true leaders among their peers. The 2021 class is no exception, and we’re honored to celebrate each and every one of our winners for their great work.”
One award winner, Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Reservations Representative, Ellen Bultman, said,
“When my manager told me I was a winner, I was surprised and excited, but mostly honored that I was able to represent the work my team is doing.”
Another Annual Chairman’s Award Winner, Miami International Airport Customer Service Manager, Jesus Cruz, said,
“The moment my manager announced that I had won the Annual Chairman’s Award was the most emotional and rewarding moment in my 16 years at American Airlines. I enjoyed meeting all the other winners that take part in helping one another achieve greatness for our customers, our people and the success of this great airline.”
