On Wednesday (November 2, 2022), Alaska Airlines announced that their Mileage Plan loyalty program has partnered with rideshare company Lyft so members can now earn miles wherever they go. Mileage Plan members can now earn one mile for every $1.00 spent with Lyft in the U.S. and Canada, and as a holiday bonus, members can earn two miles per dollar spent with Lyft until December 31, 2022. To take advantage of the attractive new offer, members must link their Mileage Plan and Lyft accounts by visiting AlaskaLyft.com or by clicking here.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ SVP – Marketing and Guest Experience, Sangita Woerner, said,

“We always want our guests to have a terrific travel experience, even when they’re not flying with us. Our new partnership with Lyft makes sure our flyers are also cared for on the ground as they go places. Alaska and Lyft are both respected brands by millions of customers who turn to us for access to their preferred modes of transportation.”

Also commenting on the new loyalty partnership, Lyft’s Vice President – Strategic Business Development and Supply Chain, Zach Greenberger, said,

“We are thrilled to provide our riders with more benefits and opportunities to enjoy a best-in-class travel experience. At Lyft, we’re committed to hospitality and to giving our users the chance to unlock the best value for all their transportation needs – a key purpose embedded in this partnership. The Alaska team’s dedication to customer loyalty and creating a culture of belonging aligns seamlessly with many of the values that we maintain at Lyft.”

After linking Mileage Plan and Lyft accounts, members should select ‘Alaska Mileage Plan’ as their preferred rewards program in the ‘Rewards’ section of the Lyft app. All Lyft rides are eligible for earning miles, including Lyft Standard, Wait & Save, Priority Pickup, Shared, Shared Saver, Preferred, Lyft XL, Lux, Lux Black and Lux Black XL rides. Additionally, Mileage Plan members with the Alaska Airlines Signature® credit card will earn an additional mile for every dollar spent when using the card to pay for a Lyft ride.
