Today, Alaska Airlines announced new service from their hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The new daily nonstop service will commence on August 18, 2020, with Cincinnati becoming the carrier’s 93rd nonstop destination from Seattle. The route connects two growing and dynamic regions, while providing guests seamless one stop connections to dozens of West Coast destinations through Alaska’s Sea-Tac hub. In Friday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ Managing Director of Capacity Planning and Alliances, Brett Catlin said,

“For years we’ve heard from flyers and our corporate clients that they’d like Seattle’s hometown carrier to connect Cincinnati with the Puget Sound region. We couldn’t be more excited to rollout our newest Midwest destination adding the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region to the Alaska Airlines network while furthering our commitment to Seattle, where we offer 350 daily departures this summer.”

Also commenting on Friday’s announcement, CVG’s CEO, Candace McGraw added,

“The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community is excited to welcome Alaska Airlines and its strong West Coast presence to CVG. The new nonstop service from CVG to Seattle offers excellent schedule times and will enhance travel options for both business and leisure travelers in the tri-state region going to the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and Alaska.”

Guests traveling through Seattle will be able to continue to popular destinations on the West Coast, Hawaii or to Asian destinations such as Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore through one of Alaska’s 16 Global Partners. The new route to Cincinnati will be serviced with A Boeing 737 NG configured with First, Premium and Economy Class cabins. Guests will enjoy a seasonal food and beverage menu, ‘Most Free Movies in the Sky’ for viewing onboard with personal devices, free texting on most flights and Wi-Fi connectivity (available for purchase).
