For summer 2022, Alaska airlines’ oneworld partners will offer 100 weekly nonstop flights between the U.S. West Coast and Europe. The new service includes Portland-London with British Airways, as well as Seattle-Helsinki flights with Finnair.
On Monday (December 13, 2021), Alaska Airlines announced an expansion of their oneworld partnership for summer 2022 with 100 weekly nonstop flights between the U.S. West Coast and Europe. British Airways will launch five weekly flights between Portland, Oregon and London Heathrow starting June 3, 2022. This will be British Airways’ sixth service from a key Alaska West Coast market joining Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose (California) and Seattle. Last week, Finnair announced new nonstop service between Seattle and Helsinki, with three weekly flights from June 1st, 2022. The new Seattle service complements existing Finnair flights from Los Angeles to Helsinki. Additionally, Finnair will increase the frequency on their Los Angeles-Stockholm route to four weekly flights from May 1st, 2022.
In Monday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Fleet and Alliances, Nat Pieper, said,
“By deepening our partnerships with oneworld alliance members, we're providing exciting travel opportunities to Europe and beyond. Our guests will love the 100 weekly nonstop flights between our West Coast gateway airports and major European cities, enjoying oneworld benefits along the way.”
Also commenting on the partnership expansion, oneworld’s CEO, Rob Gurney, said,

With the new oneworld member airline flights to Europe and extensive connections at Alaska’s hubs, the possibilities are endless for customers planning that long-awaited trip to Europe.”
By summer 2022, Alaska’s oneworld partners will operate over 100 weekly flights from the West Coast to Europe, including direct flights to London, Madrid, Barcelona, Stockholm and Helsinki. Upon arrival in Europe, guests can seamlessly connect to onward destinations throughout the Continent and other parts of the world through Alaska’s partners’ hubs.
