Alaska Air Group Appoints Adrienne Lofton to Board of Directors

Alaska Air Group has appointed tech executive Adrienne Lofton to the company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Lofton is the Vice President of Global Marketing at Google, where she oversees the integrated customer experience Across Google’s portfolio.

On Thursday (October 14, 2021), Alaska Air Group announced the appointment of tech industry executive Adrienne Lofton to the company’s Board of Directors. Lofton is a retail omnichannel veteran with extensive experience in transforming some of the nation’s best known brands. She will also serve on the boards of the Group’s airline subsidiaries Alaska Airlines, Inc. and Horizon Air Industries. Inc. Ms. Lofton is currently the Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at Google, where she oversees the integrated customer experience for Google’s platforms and ecosystems portfolio, including Android, Chrome, Google Play and Education. Her cross-industry experience includes leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co., Target Corporation, Gap, Inc., and Starcom, where she focused on the GM portfolio.


In Thursday’s announcement, Alaska Air Group’s Chairman, Brad Tilden, said,


“With her broad experience in differing brand strategies, innovation and driving meaningful customer relationships, Adrienne will be a tremendous addition to our board. She will help us move our business forward as we strive toward creating an airline people love and further establish Alaska as a national brand.”


Adrienne Lofton will serve on the board’s Innovation and Safety committees, and her appointment expands the Group’s number of directors to 14, 12 of whom are independent. Lofton earned her bachelor’s degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she was captain of the Howard University volleyball team.


Alaska Airlines and their regional partners serve over 120 destinations in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and Belize (from November 2021). The sustainability-focused carrier emphasizes Next-Level Care for guests, while offering low fares and award-winning service. Alaska has hubs in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland and Anchorage. The carrier is a member of the oneworld global alliance, and along with their additional partners, Alaska Airlines’ guests can earn and redeem miles on flights to more than 1,000 global destinations on over 20 airlines.
