On Tuesday (January 10, 2023), Air Transat launched a new marketing campaign called ‘Come Back Changed’ as part of the airline’s new brand positioning and tagline Travel Moves Us. The promotional campaign focuses on the transformative powers of travel and its ability not only to expand horizons, but also to reset a travelers state of mind. Developed in collaboration with the creative agency Sid Lee, the advert stars Maggie, a traveler who has just returned from a trip down south. Prior to her holiday, she had reached the end of her rope and was seriously in need of a reset.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Transat’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Joseph Adamo, said,

“Come Back Changed is the latest expression of our new brand role, which is to foster openness. It’s a concrete example of how travel can open us to the world and be transformative, regardless of the reason for the trip.”

Also commenting on the new marketing campaign, Sid Lee’s Creative Director, Brian Gill, added,

“The campaign focuses on the traveller, not the season, which is unusual in the travel industry. Rather than simply saying "Escape Winter", Come Back Changed is about the benefits of travel on the individual and how it brings us closer to our best selves.”

The campaign has been rolled out in Quebec and Ontario and includes a 30-second and 15-second video spot, along with a 30 second audio ad in both English and French. The video is also available on YouTube as well as other digital platforms, while the audio version can be heard primarily in Montreal, Quebec City and the Greater Toronto Area. As part of the launch of the Come Back Changed promotion, Air Transat is offering return fares to the south from $399, one-way flights to Florida from $150, and south packages from $889.
