Air Lease Corporation Places Six New Airbus Aircraft with Startup Magnifica Air

Air Lease Corporation has announced the placement of six Airbus aircraft on long-term lease with airline startup Magnifica Air, including four new A220-300s and two new A321neos.

On Tuesday (October 14, 2025), Air Lease Corporation announced the placement of four Airbus A220-300s and two new A321neos on long-term lease to airline startup Magnifica Air. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2027.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s EVP, David Beker, said,
“Air Lease is pleased to lease these new Airbus A220s and A321neos to Magnifica Air and be the first to provide brand new aircraft to the airline, which plans to use them to redefine luxury air travel by making the journey on our aircraft, a destination itself.”
Also commenting on the long-term lease transaction, Magnifica Air’s CEO, Wade Black, said,
“This partnership with Air Lease marks a defining moment for luxury aviation. Together, we are setting a new benchmark that will transform how passengers experience the journey.”
Planning to launch in 2027, Air Magnifica promises to redefine luxury aviation. Creating a new category in aviation, Magnifica Air will offer a hybrid solution between first-class and private jet travel, delivered with the consistency and scale of commercial. The carrier will commence operations with a fleet of Airbus A220-300 and A321neo aircraft, acquired in partnership with Comlux and delivered through Air Lease Corporation. The aircraft will be configured to carry only 45-54 guests, and each will feature 2–4 private suites. By eliminating the stress points, Magnifica Air aims to bring back the joy of travel through a fully orchestrated, high-luxury guest experience.
