On Thursday (November 4, 2021), Air France announced that with the opening of US borders to fully-vaccinated travelers on November 8th, the carrier will gradually increase transatlantic traffic for the winter 2021/22 season, restoring approximately 90 percent of 2019 capacity, compared to 50 percent during summer 2021. After 18 months of US travel restrictions, Air France will offer up to 122 weekly flights to 11 US destinations for winter including service to New York-JFK, Boston, Washington DC, Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Air France will increase frequencies to New York from 3 to 5 daily flights, Miami from 7 to 10 weekly flights and Los Angeles from 12 to 17 weekly flights. The carrier will also resume service between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Seattle with three weekly flights from December 6, 2021. Additionally, Air France will resume Paris-Papeete service via Los Angeles with three weekly flights from November 11th. The airline will also inaugurate new service between Pointe-à-Pitre and New York-JFK with two weekly flights from November 24, 2021.

Guests traveling with Air France can book with confidence, as the carrier is offering fully modifiable and refundable tickets until March 31, 2022. Under the flexible policy, customers can change the date and/or destination of their ticket until the day of departure of the first flight (a fare difference may apply). Travelers can also request a ticket refund up the day of departure of their first flight. If the ticket’s fare conditions don’t allow a refund, a credit voucher valid for one year will be issued, the refund of which can be requested at any time.
