On Friday (June 11, 2021), Air France announced an expansion of their summer 2021 schedule with more domestic service in France, as well as to destinations in Europe, North Africa and the French Overseas Departments. In total, Air France will offer service to nearly 200 destinations worldwide, including over 110 destinations in France, Europe and North Africa. In addition to regularly scheduled flights, the carrier will operate 81 seasonal short and medium-haul routes, including 23 new ones. Domestically, Air France will offer over 40 summer routes on departure from Paris and the French regions, including service to Corsica from Paris, Bordeaux, Caen, Lille, Lyon, Pau, Rennes, Strasbourg and Nantes.

In Europe, Air France’s schedule will focus on popular leisure destinations in Greece, Portugal, Spain and Italy, on departure from Paris and the French regions. Compared to summer 2019, the airline will increase capacity to Greece by nearly 80 percent and to Portugal by almost 25 percent. As part of their long-haul schedule, the carrier will offer up to three daily flights to Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Fort-de-France (Martinique) and Saint-Denis de la Réunion on departure from Paris-Orly and Paris-CDG, facilitating connections throughout Air France’s global network. During July and August, Air France will operate around 65 percent of the capacity offered during summer 2019, up from only 40 percent in May.

In support of the increased flight frequencies, the Air France maintenance teams are working tirelessly to return 10 medium-haul and 12 long-haul aircraft from storage. Air France will operate a total of 181 aircraft for summer 2021.

Reservations can be changed free of charge and customers can request a refundable credit voucher if they no longer wish to travel. If the flight is canceled by Air France, customers can postpone their trip, request a full ticket refund, or choose a credit voucher, which is also refundable if not used.
